Come on Sixers!

Not much to report today. Walked this morning on my mountain. Walked at lunch and did Max Interval Sports Training this evening (56 mins) followed up with a nice short walk with my bubba! I ate good and had a great day! I am really hoping to hit a good number Friday for my weigh in!

I have no clue where I am now but I need to have a good number, I think my spirit will be a tiny bit hurt if I don't. I am thinking I want to try something new Ie kettle bells or something for fun! Let me know if you have had any experience with them My friend Tara has had a good experience with them! I think I would like it!

This is gonna be short because the sixers are down by three with 16.8 to go. If they lose they are done!

South Mountain once called Durham Hills!!!!

Looks like the Flyers are going to make it to the next round of the playoffs! I wish I could stay up to see if the Blackhawks will also live to play another day, but the game should go to at ear list 1-1:30 and I have to work tomorrow. So Good luck Hawks (not Atlanta) Odin asked me if the Hawks and Flyers make it to The Stanley Cup if the Hawks would just be nice and let the Flyers win hahahahahaha!

It is now getting real nice out! So I got up and walked my Mountain this morning. It is my absolute favorite thing about this house I am renting. If your not familiar with South Mountain. South Mountain ranges in elevation between 500 and 1,300 feet above sea level. The ridge is made of metamorphic rocks and gneiss, which date to the Precambrian era and range from about 570 to 1,600 million years old. South Mountain is largely undeveloped in its northern extension due to conservation efforts and its steep slope. This makes it a beautiful backdrop to the viewpoints of the Lehigh Valley, including, at night, the city lights of Allentown. I love living here and if it were not for the INSANE oil prices and a VERY old home that is not energy efficient.... I would NEVER move! But it is time for Matthew and I to take that next step in our future together and own, rather than rent. We asked what the asking price would be for this home, and lets just say we can get a MUCH nicer home for about 100,000 less down in the valley!

So my walk this morning is an AWESOME way to kick start my day! The trees all have beautiful pink, purple, yellow, white and green flowers on them. The sky is blue and I have a million dollar view of the Lehigh Valley and almost everyday I am greeted by at least five deer! Let me tell you when the walk turns around and I start to head back home, it is a full one mile steep up hill climb! I was breathing pretty darn good by the time I got home. I call it the best way to start the day!

Then I took a one mile walk at lunch with some friends and Matthew. I can not sit in the cafe and just look at the breath taking day. I NEED to get out in it! Period! I sit in a cubical all day that looks over a beautiful lake with south mountain in the background. It is very nice to look at...... but looking does not cut it for me!

At six, I got home and did level three of the 30 day shred (with Matthew) and followed it with a nice short walk with Odin and Matt. So I know I got enough exercise in! I ate ok. Like usual, I was Strong the first 10 hours of the day but got a little slacked by the end.

Breakfast 1/2 cup of 1% small curd cottage cheese
Mid morning snack 12 almonds
Lunch the famous Tricia salad (lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, peppers and feta cheese NO DRESSING! hate dressing) with four fake chicken thingies (healthy) and celery with spicy humus
afternoon snack weight watchers string cheese with one serving of pretzels
dinner whole wheat pasta with steamed veggies, and garlic and feta sprinkles
snack a few pretzels with humus (I know I know I did not need that!)
plus about ten cups of water throughout the day and about three glasses of white wine (also did not need)

So I did not eat awful, but could have made some better choices. My goal is to look and FEEL awesome for my vacation one month from now! (I have a feeling this is going to be a BIG weekend for me!) I hope you wish me luck hahaha, cause I need it!

Tomorrow I am going to get up and walk my mountain and do some P90X in the evening! Good luck Chicago! Congrats to the Bulls! See you all tomorrow!

Its been awhile!

So I have not blogged in sometime! Mainly because I have not being enjoying P90X. It really is a good work out, but I am more of an Insanity fan. I am still working out just about everyday but I am not following the P90X schedule. The work outs are too long and do nothing for me! So I have been doing the 30 day shred everyday and throwing in some p90x videos as well as my elpitcal.

I am going to buy Asylum soon, well in time I will. Matt and I are house hunting at the moment and every penny I earn is going towards that! Its funny the first thing I look for is a place I can work out in! Well my battery is about to die! So I am off to go get Odin from his dads and then clean clean clean my house!
Happy Easter everyone!

So tired!

Legs and Back are in the bag. Now I just need to bring myself to do the ab moves. I have to be honest, my stomach is killing me! I hate cramps. I barely get them, but when I do, holy crap they suck! So it may just not get done till tomorrow! I am okay with that! I would rather do Ab ripper X when I can do it with good form and 100% effort, rather then half a$$ing it tonight!

I have not seen many results yet! I am currently unalble to do a pull up without the chair, but I am working on it! I know that I had some, lets just say "weak" moments in my eating and drinking, so as soon as that gets (which it all ready has) back on track, I know I will see better results.

Well I am gonna keep this super short tonight, due to the fact that I am dead tired. I have a dentist apointment in the morning and I want to be well rested. If it is nice out after work, I hope to have a catch with my little buddy! He is easily surpassing me in the "talent" department of sports, but I try and get out there with him! Kenpo tomorrow! Oh so fun!

Let's Go Phillies

March is now over three days over and I am right back on track! I worked well over 13 hours on Thrusday so I did thrusday work out Friday morning and Fridays on Saturday morning AND Saturdays on Saturday afternoon. I was at the gym doing Arms and Shoulders and Ab ripper X. I felt kinda like a weirdo at the gym doing some of the moves. At one point I had my behind sticking out for all to see and little did I know a BIG GIANT Hole in my work out pants... hahahahahaha. Oh well, I will do what I have to do when ever and where ever I have to do it! I am kinda awesome like that hahahaha.

So I stated a new weight loss challenge at work (MUCH needed)and it goes 04-01 to 06-03. I really feel that having to annouce my weight makes me double think every bit I put in my mouth! I don't have much problem controlling my motivation to work out. Hell I could work out every minute of every day, but the food I put in my mouth sometimes just floors me. I mean I am an adult right... so why do I find myself snacking on my kids food (junk) all day!!! Well that is just the weekend! So I will be more then conscience of what I eat! God bless the embarassment of having to report to someone!

Well baseball (little league) starts tomorrow, which means hours and hours and hours of time sitting on my butt cheering my little buddy on! Don't get me wrong baseball and Odin are my two favorite things on this planet and when you combine the two I am in absoulute HEAVEN! And guess what Odin's team this year is the Phillies! Holy crap my third favorite thing (well Matt comes in at an 1/5) in the world. We putt up with being a Dodger and a Cub (my folks had a hard time with that) and now he is a Phillie. I am going to enjoy every minute if it! Love it!

Who is craving more Cardio!

Feeling fat and lazy today. My eating has gone right out the window this past weekend. I promise you this, I am going to change that right away! I asked a co worker to bring in the P90X nutritional guide, so I can peek at it. I don't know what is up with me. I usually eat fairly well, but the past few weeks I just can't seem to stop! SO that has got to change IMMEDIATELY!

We had a really nice weekend and got to Geocache almost the entire day on Sunday! I did not get ANY ( I know I know) yoga in, but the fresh air and the mountain side was a PERFECT work out.

Today was Legs and Back and Ab ripper X. It feels great! I do have to comment that the Ab ripper X seems harder after this work out then any other so far. I think it is because my legs are just dead tired when I am done and as soon as my butt hits the floor, I have no desire to lift my legs AT ALL!

I still crave crave crave CRAVE more cardio and can't wait until phase two starts in 2 weeks. I get to throw in more of it!!!! Oh I just can't wait, I am trying! It is March and now the last week of March and that is one crazy time at work. So I am going to stick to the P90X schedule the best that I can, but I can't make any promises. I just have to not beat myself up if I miss a work out. I know last year I was at work well after midnight on the last day of March. I will be kicking it up a notch BIG time at the start of Phase two.

I am going to focus on my diet the next few weeks and try and stick to the P90x diet to the best of my ability (being a vegetarian makes it hard) Tofu and eggplant are going to have to substitute a lot of the meat meals. Seriously meat is so gross people! So gross! yuck!

So a life goal for me tonight (easy one) is to take Odin back to the Lakota Wolf Preserve and camp at the campgrounds right there at the preserve. If you have never been there, it is pretty cool! I am pretty sure this place inspired Odin to love all animals.

So here is to animals and eating healthy!

Day 9 and feeling fine!

Such a beautiful Saturday! The shy is blue, the air is fresh, my hair is cut, and Odin's hairs is cut also. Odin and I had to compromise on the hair cut, he wants long hair and I like his hair really super short.

Odin woke me up this morning wanting to walk. So we had a nice stroll down 5th street. It was such a nice way to start today! Then I actually had about an hour to sit eat some breakfast and get caught up on Off the Map. I actually really like that show. For years I have said I wish I had a skill or a trade that I could take over to a third world county and volunteer over there. So that show is "kinda" like my dream!

We are getting ready to get Matt's kids for the night. It is Natalie's 9th birthday. We got the streamers up and the presents wrap ed! I am about to call my brother to see if Elijah wants to come up to help celebrate Natalie's bday. (Elijah has a little crush on Natalie)

I got my hair cut today and the hair dresser (who is foreign) tells me I am going bald. She told me to go to my doctor. It was funny. I don't want to be bald! So my goal or thing I am going to do before I die... is go to the doctor to see what vitamins I should be taking to help with my thinning hair. It makes me so sad :(

Today was Arms and Shoulders and Ab ripper X! I feel it more now then I did last week. It is a great work out! I just wish tomorrow was not YOGA! I am going to TRY to do the whole thing! Right now I am going to start to pay more attention to this OT Butler game! Go Butler!

Go Butler!

Wow what a difference! Today started week two of P90X and was Chest and Shoulders and then Ab Ripper X. I got a pull up bar and that is exactly what I needed! That took the workout up to the X notch! I got a pull up bar at Walmart tonight and it was money well spent! My only issue with tonight's work out was, I did not start till after 7:30 and next thing I knew, it was after 9 and I had yet to eat or feed my son dinner. Good thing my awesome boyfriend was on it and started to cook while I was finishing up my work out!

My numbers are not all that impressive. I am going to list them with the better of the two from tonight and night one!

Day one and Tonight
Wide front pull ups 15 (bands) 11 (pull up bar w/ chair)

Standard push ups 30 33

Reverse Grip pull ups 18 (bands) 7 (pull up bar w/ chair)

Military style push up 11 13

Close Grip over head pull ups 16 (bands) 5 (pull up bar w/chair)

Wide Fly push ups 24 23

Heavy pants 15 (w/10) 23 (w/10)

Decline push ups 16 18

Lawn movers 18 (w/10) 15 (w/13)

Diamond push ups 16 18

Back rippers 10 (w/8) 14 (w/10)

Dive Bombers (video below) 7 8

Sorry everyone, I line the numbers up so pretty, but for some reason it gets all messed up when I post and upload a video. I am stoked about doing plyometrics tomorrow. I still love Plyo! I am hoping to get to see Jaxon and Mel Mel tomorrow night after Kung Fu, so that means I must get my sleepy head up in the morning to do the hour long work out! I am sooooo happy that I am more stoked about P90X now that I have the pull up bar. One day, I will do an unassisted pull up and it will be in the next 83 days! So excited!

My "thing" I want to do before I leave this planet is to compete in a sprint triathalon! I need a new bike for that! That may even be something I could be very good at! I miss swimming on a daily basis. There is nothing like it! I need a pool!

I am America and so can you!

Working on what to do! Tomorrow is day 7, or my rest day. I can take a rest day or an X stretch day. I am thinking the stretch is the better option. No way am I going to take a day off. I have been feeling a little "flubby" the past few days. I KNOW I need more weight because everyone I am talking to, says how hard it has been to even walk or raise their arms, and I am really not feeling that. I had no luck today looking for used, so I am thinking I need to look at new weights.

Today I did kenpo. Not bad, Not bad! I did like the sweat and the cardio... But I am so uncoordinated that I stuggled. I am guessing that once I know the moves a little bit better I will enjoy it that much more!

I am going to keep this short because I am watching yesterday's "Castle" and I love that show!

My "thing" I want to mention that I want to be able to do or to go or to go back to today is...... I want to go back to The Colbert Report. That was such an AWESOME day! In fact, one of the top ten in my life! Steven Steven Steven!

Monday, March 21, 2011

Oh snap, day five!

Today's work is what is up! Today was legs and back and ab ripper! I still think it could be a bit tougher, but there were a few moves that were pretty darn hard. I struggled with the single leg wall squats, and sneaky lunges! Wow, they burned! I really do need to get a pull up bar and heavier weights. I am going to do some searching on Craigslist to see if I can find some used hand weights and a pull up bar. I am thinking I would like 12,15 and 18lbs. HAHAHa I am the X in P90X. I am totally just kidding.

Today was a rainy, chilly day. Can you believe it was over 70 on Friday and there was snow this morning??!! What in the world is going on, right! It is what it is and it is amazing! I love living here, where there is a part of the year that will keep you guessing!

Work was work, and I barely got anything done because my computer was being a royal problem today and I had my mind cluttered with "house" stuff! Everyone has those kinds of days. My imagination was running wild today, which is a good thing!

My bucket list thing, or whatever it is, is that someday I will ride a horse. I am scared of that, but I think that may be doable to do this summer! Maybe, it is scary! They are big! Anyone out there have a horse that I can ride??? Let me know!

day four!

Today was day four, Yoga, and I have to admit to only doing about half. Now, half is no joke. The whole work out is over an hour and half. Maybe next week I will be more dedicated to the whole work out. I currently suck at Yoga, and am dedicated to mastering it by the end of this 90 day work out! I know I can, if I set my mind to it and I just did :) Yoga is tough. First off, I have a hard time "clearing" my mind. I am usually thinking about Odin, cleaning, work or something or another! Second, I am just terrible with balance and flexibility! Ask me in 90 days what I think of Yoga!

Not much happened today. Odin had a birthday party so he was gone most of the afternoon. I hit up BJ's and went on a nice walk with Matthew and then again with Odin this evening. My street is real pretty this time of year with the leaves being down, you can see all of the Lehigh Valley. Other than that I was pretty lazy. But I needed that. This was the first weekend in a few that I did not have to go into work (well I should have) and the next three to four weeks is going to be non-stop work. There will even be a few days coming up where I will be going in at 8a.m and not leaving till midnight or later! I think it is crazy! But what is one to do.

Tomorrow is Monday :( and I will most likely be working late. So Matt will be taking Odin and Natalie to the animal shelter that we volunteer at for me and I will be working.. no fun. I have to find the time to fit in Legs and Back ,and ab ripper. Morning maybe? I usually have a hard time sleeping Sunday night, so that may be out. Well, if I have to do it late, I should be okay because it is not hardcore cardio like Insanity.

So on to my day 5 bucket list.... get a degree... maybe that should be number 1! We'll see! Note the picture today is taken on South Mountain that I live on! So pretty!

Day three!

Today very well could be one of the best days I have had in a very long time! It was just one of those days that everything seemed to go as exactly as it should have. It was a very much needed Momma and son day.

I woke up and the bed, the sheets, the sunlight, the everything just invited me to stay right there in bed and enjoy stretching and snoozing... it felt so good. Then I got up headed off to the gym after doing some dishes and got in some great treadmill time. Got home and snuggled on the couch with my bubba, Odin and watched Ax men! Got some laundry done and went to put in Shoulders and Arms for P90X and guess what the DVD did not work..... No big deal. I have the work and the routine laid out in front of me and with the help of you tube was able to do the work out in full! Did a quick AB ripper, which is on to days schedule. I will go into that in a minute!

Then Odin and I were off to The Ups Store. We surprised Monie with a visit! She was surprised. We wanted to Geocache with her today. Turns out there was a chache 200ft away from her store, right outside her door! So cool!!!! Then we followed her to a park that is on the way home from her work and we all found two more! Odin was so pumped about finding three today, that when we got to Monie's house, he was ready to go search for some more! Turns out we were about 1.20 miles away from one so Odin, myself and Bono decided to go find it! Well we got up the street and realzed that I left behind my backpack that has everything in it. So I ran back and just got my car and had the dog and Odin jump in and we drove to it..... I know I know we are lazy.. but it was getting cold and dark quick so what we drove... Anyway glad we did! We got there and I ended up having to carry Bono over a creek! Hahahaha I know it sounds stupid but it was really really really funny! Odin was in good spirits all day and I just loved every minute of today! He even tasted a banana today!

The work out today was a very extreme work out. My arms are going to be killing me tomorrow! I used 5, 8 and 10lbs in today's workout! Some point this week I will be getting a 12 or 15lbs to step in up a notch or as Tony would say Bring it! For the record, I still can not believe how cheesy he is! The ab work out after words if fantastic! It is only 16 minutes and worth doing because it so effective! In 16 minutes you get well over 300 ab/core "moves" in! Whoa that is a lot! The great thing is, yes that is a lot and yes you feel like your doing ab work BUT you don't feel like your doing 300 core moves!

I still feel like I am not getting a "workout" in. Only because I as such a cardio junkie that if I am not sweating my but off and feeling as if I can't run for one more second, or jump one more time or if I slap the floor I may just fall threw the floor, don't feel as if I am getting in a work out. I am going to ignore these feelings and keep on trucking forward. I just have to get use to it.... P90X is very different then what I am use to. I was asked how Shaun T and Tony were compared to each other and I said, there is no way to com pair and I said something on the lines of... It's is like comparing olympic swimming to Olympic diving, just because they both are jump into a pool, they are no way the same!

Ok so my "bucket List" thus far is to go back to The San Juan Islands, Bike Across America, and to hike the Application trail. What is next.... I think I would love to surf! In fact I know I would love it.... just got to get around to learning how to.... so there we go. I want to learn how to surf!

Happy Birthday Dane Cook!

Oh mother nature, your killing me! It was so nice out today! A High of 72 on a Friday. Lets just say Olympus did not have the most productive Trish today! It is going to be nice tomorrow, but not as nice as today! I love pre-spring, nice days! They just make everything seem better. Driving, listening to music, waiting for the bus etc ect! Awe so nice! I know you know what I am talking about!

I am going to take advantage of spending some time with my favorite little buddy, Jaxon and shoot some hoops with him and Odin! I know it will be a good time! Can't wait!

Today was a very nice day! As you all ready know, Mother nature was rocking it today and it was quite peaceful at work, for March. Odin had Kung Fu and Basketball tonight. It was his last game of the season and My mother, sister and brother in law along with some friends came to cheer Odin on! He was so proud. I can't wait for his baseball season to start! I am pretty sure that starts the second week of April. I have to admit, I am really going to enjoy then next few weeks, with a very light after school schedule, because when Baseball starts, it is ON like Donkey Kong! I am barely home when that starts. It may not be as bad as I think because, last year we had to travel an hour away to get to each game, and practice three or more times a week! So no worries because it is going to be right down the road now!

On to the P90X, today was Plyometrics, which I have all ready done. It did seem a tiny bit harder today, but that is because I did it at 9:00 at night! BIG difference. I took my pre p90x measurements today! Here we go... don't laugh!! ( I am not 100% sure these are accurate)

Body Fat % 32.2 :(
Weight 139 :(
Chest 36"
Waist 31"
Hips 38"
Right Thigh 22"
Left Thigh 22"
Right Bicep 11"
Left Bicep 11"

I sure hope those numbers get better! I am putting all hopes in Tony and the P90X crew! I have faith! I am going to Bring it! Hahaha! Well I am watching some Basketball and just realized how late it is!!! Geeze I need to go to bed!

So my day 3, of my 30 day always changing bucket list! Hiking the Appalachian Trail. I will do this the first chance I get! In fact maybe my honeymoon!?!? That could be a million years away!

Thursday, March 17, 2011

Well, she was an American girl Raised on promises!

Day one of P90x in the bag! I am off and running! So excited for the next 90 days! I am planing to do most of the work outs in the evening, but I plan on playing my cards right and plan accordingly. The workouts are, to me, extremely long! I was not as bored as I thought I would be! I enjoyed it very much.

It was so very different than work outs that I am use to, but it was still very good. Today or day one and it was Chest and shoulders and then Ab Ripper. Total between the two was about 75 minutes. I used the resistance bands for the pull up moves, and 8 to 10lbs for the weights. I am not positive that was enough. I definitely want to get rid of the resistance bands and get a pull up bar, but I have to look into that because I am not sure where I would end up putting it! I did quite well with all the push ups! I will list my numbers next week when I can compare them to something. Right now I am about to run out of battery so I will keep this short! I did enjoy the work out but miss sweating my butt off!

For my own 30 day challenge.... something I will do someday is ride my bike across the county. I will plan this someday, I know it would take more time than I have currently being a working single mother, but someday Odin will go off to school and maybe I will have won millions (haha) and I will have the 2 to 3 months to complete this! Oh I can just picture it now! I love this country!

Day One of P90X coming real soon!

Hopefully tomorrow starts day One of of P90X! I am very super excited! I have a little under half of the 12 dvds and hopefully tomorrow I will have the first few to start, then have them all by Friday! I went over the Fitness Guide and have made the decission to attempt to do the doubles program. Reason being, I love cardio!

The first four weeks, or phase 1, is exactly the same in the doubles and classic schedule of P90X. Once you hit Phase two, or week 5, you follow the exact same as classic but add in Cardio X three days a week. So that means three days a week, I will be working out for 43 mins of Cardio X in the morning, and about an hour in the evening of the other resistance work outs! Crazy, right! I know I can do it though. Then, Phase three you follow the same schedule as classic but throw in 4 days a week of CardioX. I figure as long as I do the Classic Schedule to a tee, the Cardio I do will just be icing on the cake! My guess is the days I do the extra Cardio X will be my favorite days. I have a month to wait for that so we will see!

I did the P90X fit test that is in the Fitness guide. This is no where near as insane as Insanity's fit test, but a good way of giving a P90X Minimum. If your unable to do the minimum on each test, the guide suggest you try a different work out prior to starting P90X. I was unable to reach the minimum on the pull ups.I have never in my life to be able to do an unassisted pull up. The guide gave a side note for this test saying many people will not be able to perform the minimum pull ups and for this move only that is okay. My ulitmate goal for P90X is somewhere in the next 90 days to be able to do ONE unassisted pull up! Nothing else... that is my end goal! Everything else will just be an extra bonus!

Results for the test. I only have to record these numbers again at the end of the 90 days. (Keep in mind I was unbelievably sore from yesterdays work out!!! and that totally effected my numbers today. I had Matt count and measure and watch the clock for all of these LOVE HIM!)

Pull Ups 0 P90X Minimum Men 3 Women 1 :(

Vertical Leap: 12 inches P90X Minimum Men 5" Women 3"

Push ups: 28 P90X Minimun Men 15 Women 3 (to failure)

Toe Touch: +5 P90X Minimum at least -6 (

Wall Squat: 1min 30sec P90x Minimum 1 minute(yesterday butched this number!)

Bicep Curls: 56 reps 8lbs P90X Minimum men 10 reps 20lbs Women 10reps 8lbs

In and Outs: 42 P90X Minimum 25

Heart Rate: 152 107 94 92 P90X Minimum Be able to finish 2 mins of jumping jacks

The last one is 2 mins of jumping jacks and the last 30 seconds you go as hard and fast as you can. Immeditately after you take your heart rate (152) then after another minute (107) etc etc. I had fun! Knowing that can do far over the minimum (other then the pull ups) made me happy! Well lets just hope I can start tomorrow! I will be taking a before picture and the whole works and can't wait to see my progress!

I am also going to be starting a little challenge for myself. For the next 30 days I want to think about things I want to do,lets say my bucket list or my always changing bucket list or things or places I want to experiece again. I am starting with something I definitely want to experience again! The San Juan Islands off the coast of Washingtion!

Good old calisthenics!

We had a fantastic time in West Virginia! Matthew's mothers house is beautiful! The area she lives in just takes my breath away. We spent an entire day Geocaching with the kids and Joyce (Matt's mom) I will post some pic's on facebook as soon as I can! We left Friday after work. I got in a very quick work out at the gym on Friday nothing much but something is always better then nothing! Remember that, PEOPLE, Something is ALWAYS better the nothing!

Saturday the only form of exercise I can say that I got was about 4+ miles or so Geocaching! I don't care that is all I got. I had a fantastic day. Only a few hick ups (that comes with 4 kids) but all in all a day of spending time with family! Nothing gets better then that! We came home late on Saturday night and I had my package I was waiting for on the porch.

I had ordered a book Special Ops Fitness Training and The Biggest Loser Boot Camp! Okay, so I did The Biggest Loser Boot Camp on Sunday after I went into work for a few hours. That was way different of a work out then I am use to. It is a good work out! I did level One, Two and some of Three. They all included weights and resistance. I sweated my back side off, for sure! Odin was like "Umm Mom, Bob is kicking your Butt!" and that he did! It was not the hardest work out I have done in my life, But let me tell you, it did it's job! It had some very good moves and got me sweating and sore! Love it love it Love it!

Now onto my book! First and foremost.... I LOVE TO READ! On a Saturday morning, me plus a book equals bliss! Reading is one of the most thearaputic things I do (besides exercising) So I am reading this book and it starts off as, well reading. A bit about the introduction, a striving for peak performance ( the authours "dig deep" words, a history of Special Ops (awesomely interesting!), a mental attitude, a before you begin, a how to use this book and then the work outs.

I don't even know where to start, other then the Mr. Shalloway's gym class. It was so hard and I felt as Mr. Shalloway was there watching me trying to do a pull up with everything I have. Routine one is what I had to do tonight. It is laid out so easy in the book. It starts with a quick warm up of Jumping jacks, half jumping jacks and Iron Mikes (which I don't think I was doing right!) Then it goes into 18 different stretches. Very old school and very effective total body stretch but very LONG! Then it went into upper body. It was as not as fast paced as I am use to but I followed the book and did Three different pull ups and Seven different types of push ups. If your a reader of this blog you know.... I love me some push ups and how they push me to the next level. I am not going to go into much detail right this second about the moves cause I am a tiny bit distracted right now as the biggest loser is on and I am trying to get Odin settled in for the night, fold the laundry and get this blog done hahaha. It did go into Lower body which also totally rocked but that ended with what was suppose to be six mile Ruck Sack March. Lets just say I did thirty mins on the elliptical trainer and then into abs. I only got to do about two of abs/core moves and Odin says "mom, Dinner and Monopoly!" and he was right. It was after seven and I had to pay some attention to him. The most important part of my life would be the one on one time with m little buddy!

Goals for tomorrow. Get my but up and do AT LEAST the 30 day shred. I know I am going to be tired because I am staying up late to see Matthew home! I sure miss him when he is gone. Well I am off to fold the never ending job of laundry! Hint of Good news.... I may be starting P90X as early as Thursday, more to come!

Nie mogę się doczekać!

I want to start with stating I don't care much for Los Espanol on the NBA jersey's. I am not positive why I have an opinion on this, but I just think it is dumb. I get that they may want to sell them this way for the community, but for the team to wear them during an official game, to me, is just plan silly.

Anywhoooo. No complaints coming from me today(other than Los Lakers). I still have a pretty intense "cold Allergy" (what I am calling it) but it worked in my favor today lessening my super ability to smell things! You had to be there!

I got to see my two favorite almost 60 year olds (one much closer than the other!) hehehe. My mom had to help me iron on Odin's star on his sash, that he earned (so proud) from Kung Fu. We burnt two holes in it but that's ok! We ended up super glueing it to the sash. Let's just say I am in way a Martha Stewart kinda mom. But at least I will stay out of prison, so maybe Martha Stewart should be reading this blog and get a clue on what life is all about! Not that I have any clue either!

Once I managed to get my little roller skate of a car home thru this flood of 2011, I had Matt throw in Cardio Max. We did Level One and Two. (I am not a fan of level three!) I was interrupted every five seconds by Odin and my motherly duties, but that is o.k. Matt's one word to describe tonight's work out is....... basic. I somewhat agree but that does not make it bad. You get in a good sweat and it just feels good! I have to admit I added a few extra moves or modified some of them to make them a bit more challenging!

Well, I am off the net the next few days. That is because I will be in West Virginia with my Modern Day family and doing some Geocaching all along the Appalachian Trail with the kids and Matt's mom! Ohhhh can't wait. So I will see you when I see you! Peace!

Plyo P90X style!

My first inpression's of P90X are... it is dark, cheesy, and a bit too easy! I know, I know, it is not easy. I only have tried the Yoga and Plyometric of P90X because two of my best friends let me borrow it.

The Yoga, I did the other day, and it is not that I did not like it, but I am not very good at it. Let's just say, I presently suck at it. I happen to think Tony is a Huge Bit Cheesy! He just says the cheesist things. I think in the end, I will love him though.

Now to tonight's work out. The Plyo. Tony himself says this work out puts the X in P90X. Well, I hope it gets more challenging as it goes on, because I could have done it with my eyes closed. I really did think it was EASY, Capital EASY! Now, now, now keep in mind I am not on the schedule and have not punished myself to muscle fatigue with the other 12 dvds. What I think happens is your body is so sore from all the strenth training, that this dvd does in turn become more challenging. Does that make sense? You tell me! I can't wait to find out.

Although it sounds like I am talking crap on both Yoga and Plyo, I did really enjoy both and feel as if they both served their purpose! I want to thank Alison and Meredith for letting me borrow their dvds! And now I am off to watch the Sixers hopefully beat Oklahoma tonight! I still love plyometrics and I think I will always prefer Shaun T!

I love Bob!

I can't tell you how much my Tuesday nights with Odin and The biggest Loser mean to me! I am glad I get to spend the time with my Little buddy and watch people transform their lives! It is just so inspiring! It does not hurt that I Love Bob! He is just such beautiful inspiration. I love love love him! He just seems like such a nice guy! and he does really seem to care about each and every person he comes in contact with. Awe anyway.. today was great!

It was so nice out side! I managed to fit in a mile walk with some of the best people at Olympus. And got in a walk with Odin after work as well as a good game of Frisbee! Got to get over to one of best Alison's again and was inspired that Odin loves her dogs. I am thinking walking with them would be a good thing for him and maye helping Alison out too!

I did The Biggest Loser Cardio Max tonight with Odin! Fantastic!!!!! I did all three levels which is a bit long but it is a great work out! I really worked up a sweat! Hurts so good! I can't wait to order P90X and start that but know that all the strength training is going to take some adjusting for me! I always get a tiny bit bored with it!

I did not manage to fit in a run today but am hoping that I will tomorrow or Thursday. That all depends on when Matt gets home tomorrow. Speaking of which he is on his way home as I type and I cant wait! I miss him when he is gone! We are going to West Virginia this weekend to visit his mom and I could not be more excited! Anyway enjoy the video of a fun move from Cardio Max!
