Day FIVE!!!! I got absolutely terrible sleep last night, moved out to the living room around 1:00am and it took everything I had in me to not hit the snooze button on my phone when my alarm went off at 6:00 am. But I just could not hit snooze, because my Non Weight Loss goal this week in my works challenge is to not snooze AT ALL this week! So I got my tush up, and Matt's and did Day Five's Pure Cardio!!! It was almost as difficult as the Plyometric Cardio Circuit that was on day two! Although I am hesitate to call ANYTHING in Insanity easy.
You start off with a typical Insanity warm up (which is harder then any other full work out in itself that I have every done). Three rounds each three mins long, with no breaks in between and each time your asked to go faster and faster. Jog, Jumping Jacks, Heisman, 123 Heisman, Butt kicks, high Knees, and Mummy Kicks. Each 30 seconds three times faster and faster. Let me tell you when you get your water break (yes a water break for a warm up) you VERY much need it!!! Now covered in sweat, you go into your stretch for a few mins. THEN get ready to get your Butt Kicked!!! 15 mins of 15 different exercise, each a min as many reps as you can do.
- Suicide (side to side touching the floor)
- Switch kicks (exhausting)
- Wide football sprints
- Stance Jacks
- Pedal (two lunges, then sprint, followed by 2 more lunges, etc)
- Hooks and Jump rope (8 hook punches, several high jumps, 8 punches etc)
- Power jacks (like jumping jacks, but you go deep in a wide lunge)
- Level 2 drills (these get me every time. 8 push ups followed by 8 run lunges, repeat)
- Frog Jumps
- Power Knees (switch every 30 seconds)
- Mountain Climbers
- Ski Down (jump side to side as if skiing)
- Scissor Runs
- Suicide Jumps (squat down, jump back to a push up, stand up again)
- Push up jacks (push ups with wide fee
So I was DEAD tired at the end. I had my heart rate monitor (thank you family!!) and it was at 199 most of the work out! Talk about exhaustion.
Matthew is now out of town till Monday! That means I have to be an adult this week and take care of myself!!! How absurd right!! I am spoiled in the fact that Matthew makes the coffee every night as well as my makes my lunch every morning! No big deal I just have to fit the few extra steps into my schedule!
Odin had his very first Basketball "game" tonight!! When I say game I say it very loosely! He did great, looked like a little me out there! He makes me so very proud! He ripped the ball out of the offensive players hands every time they put it in front of him! He even scored!!! Way to go Idaho!!
Tomorrow is a repeat of Plyometric Cardio Circuit! I am hoping I am that it will be better then day two cause I am getting more in shape, maybe, hopefully, ugh we will see! Can't wait till 6 to the a to the m!
